the Price of In Town Truck Rentals

Rental of 24 foot straight truck large enough to fit most of the belongings from our 6 room house. The fee for the truck was $45 (with a discount coupon from online), and the per mile charge was $.79. We added on insurance just in case as well.

We picked up the vehicle on a Saturday morning and started loading it up. We moved the bulk of our belongings on Sunday. Since we picked up on Saturday, we were able to skate past the 24 hour rule and only had to drop the truck off sometime before midnight. It was very convenient for us to have this little bit of extra time.

The truck was very well kept and had conveniences like a loading platform that really came in handy for the large items. It held a great deal of items and we wer shocked how much we were able to squeeze in.

The people were very accomodating and polite. They reviewed all truck procedures with us since we had never rented one before, and were extremely helpful.

This was a big-name company which can probably account for a bit of a higher rate then some others, but we were happy with the service.

When you research price, remember that you have to account for mileage and insurance as well. Make sure to look for discount coupons online as many of the big companies will offer them. If it is possible for you to move on a weekend, it can usually save you a few dollars by giving you a few extra hours.
