the Price of In Town Truck Rentals

I rented a truck to move my belongings. I also used a dolly and some wrap that the company offered. I paid a larger deposit that was refunded and the price above, which was not the advertised price. The price on the ads was 19.95 per day, but with taxes, and various fees, it was much more than that.

It was a pain to rent the truck, I had to wait at least half an hour to get everything finished. The truck itself ran poorly, was difficult to drive and uncomfortable. The back, however, was big enough for what I needed. The ramp to load things was a necessity. The truck was advertised as having a lower bed for easy loading, but I didn't find it so. The best thing I can say is that the inside of the truck was clean, so I wasn't constantly worried about dirtying my stuff by putting it in. The return was equally difficult. The person who took it tried to make me lie, or wanted me to, by asking a question that he expected me to lie about. I didn't. He asked if I had used the dolly which is an extra charge. I told him I did, and he knew because there was a mini-bar like zip tie system so that you can tell of it has been used. I was kinda offended that he thought I looked like a liar.

There's really not much of a choice for moving yourself. The biggest tip I can provide is to go to the store and get a real price quote. Don't believe what the side of the truck says.
