the Cost of Speech Therapy

Received speech therapy for a 9 year old boy. Therapy included articulation and vocabulary. Therapy sessions were forty-five minutes times each week. Received weekly progress reports as well as items to work on at home.

The service I received was very good. We had a very well qualified therapist who immediately was able to connect with my child. She was warm and engaging which helps immensely when dealing with children. The therapy also included vocabulary work so there would be story telling or games to help develop the vocabulary. We were able to see progress in his vocabulary as well as articulation after receiving therapy for about 2 months. The price above reflects 4 months of therapy.

The setting is important in order for their to maintain focus for the patient. Ideal setting would be a doctor's office. Also, frequency is very important. How often speech therapy takes place. I also would be careful with checking out the therapist. Interview with them before placing your first therapy appointment. Make sure that personalities are welcoming and inviting before getting into a therapy situation.
