Description of service
I received a series of acupuncture treatments for allergies I start suffering when I moved to Austin. I had sneezing, wheezing, and itchy eyes. I don't like using most over-the-counter treatments as they make me drowsy.
I had 4 acupuncture treatments as well as some suggestions for herbs. The treatments each lasted about 40 minutes and they occurred over a month.
Review of Service
After the first treatment I was disappointed. If I hadn't pre-paid for the whole set I wouldn't have come back. I was left with dark blue bruises and the area hurt like I had been hit with a baseball. Strangely the needles didn't hurt at all. I didn't feel a thing.
With the rest of the treatments I had less bruising, less pain, and the time while the needles were in became very enjoyable.
I saw a marked improvement in my allergy symptoms.
The clinic was very clean, which I expected and should be expected. The acupuncturist played relaxing music and overall it was very relaxing. Best part of the week, really.
Tips
My tips would be to get at least 3 treatments. One really isn't enough. Make sure the place is super clean, also the needles should be in packages and single use. Expect bruising like you've never seen if you have sensitive skin. I feel I paid a lot compared to what over the counter treatments cost, but it was worth the near hour of relaxation.
