Description of service
I received a series of Acupuncture treatments last year for a bad back. It consisted of 6 treatments at $45 per session. My insurance did not cover acupuncture. I had to travel a good distance for the treatments but I found them worth it. The staff would see me into to a very nice room with low playing music. When the doctor came in he would show me the needles he would use and each came separate packed for sterilization purposes.
Review of Service
The treatments were great and I feel well worth the money even though the distance was long. The needles for my bad back were placed in various locations along my back but also in my legs and arms. I even had some in my neck. They were kept in for about 30 minutes and then removed. After that I was told to lie still and relax for about 15 minutes. At first I did not feel much difference but as the day went on I began to relax my back muscles. As the sessions continued, I got better and better with lasting effects. The quality of service I received was outstanding.
Tips
After constant pain in my back and not wishing to become dependent on drugs, I decided to see an acupuncturist for help. My insurance did not pay. I went on the web to look for a reputable one in the area. The closest I could find was in Seattle. My advice to anyone would be check out the person with the medical association and any state program.
