the Cost of a Series of Acupuncture Treatments

I was hesitant to try an acupuncturist because I generally try not to buy into these holistic forms of healing. In fact I'm still not sure if it actually did anything or if it was all in my mind, but none the less I have been rid off my typical daily headache. The doctor had me lay on my back and pricked me with small pins that he had some sort of medicine in them. I'm not an expert so I won't even try to say what he used. I was surprised that it actually felt kind of relaxing and nice getting poked in the back. I wasn't expecting this, but it was nice.

Of course it wasn't covered by my insurance because It only covers typical doctor visits. I guess they don't consider acupuncture typical. The doctor explained to me what he was doing and what it was supposed to do in order to get rid of my headaches. Whether it worked or not I'm happy to feel at least psychologically better and therefore get fewer headaches.

I'm not really sure how common an acupuncturist is in other peoples areas, but I was kind of limited to this one since I live in Nebraska. Not exactly the acupuncture capital of the world. Overall I was very happy though.
