Had a home stereo that had a bad audio channel in the receiver. It was repaired and returned to us within a week. We got an estimate in advance and authorized the repair. The stereo was fairly new and was an expensive unit. Having it repaired made sense to us as long as it was too pricey. We asked for an estimate in advance to gauge the cost. A lot of shops will charge you for an estimate, so be sure to ask. Also, dropping off the receiver helped keep the cost low because we didn?t have to deal with a delivery charge. Lastly, be sure to find an authorized repair center before you have them go ahead with the repair so you know it won?t void anything.

They did a great job and repaired the unit quickly. They also stuck to the budget and had it done when they said it would be finished.
Tips
Be sure to get an estimate in advance of approving the repair. A lot of shops will tyr and get you to agree to a repair if it doesn?t exceed a certain amount. This is a mistake because it allows them to pad the cost. By approving an exact estimate, you know in advance what the cost will be.
