My audio system had started giving me some problems. Though the external appearance of the whole system was perfectly fine, the sound quality had deteriorated a lot and it had become intolerable. My audio system was still under warranty period but i was still charged $40 for the whole service.
Review of Service
I had taken my audio system to an authorized service center since i thought that it would be the best place. I was told that the problem had occurred due to either mishandling on my part or the excessive usage of the speakers at high volumes. I was told that such a fault was not covered under warranty but still as a goodwill gesture, they would give me a discount and finally i was charged $40. Don't know what repairs they did but they kept it for three days and finally returned it in a like-new condition. But i was unhappy with the fact that i had to pay in spite of the warranty period.
Tips
If your audio system is still under the guarantee or warranty, only then visit a company authorized service center as otherwise they prove to be too expensive and charge heavily even for minor repairs that can be procured from any local place at less than half the price.
