Description of service
My bike had suddenly started making a lot of noise. I doubted that the noise was emanating from some part of the chain. I took my bike to the company authorized showroom but later went to a local nearby repair shop. I was charged $40 for the service and my bike became as it used to be.
Review of Service
Initially i had gone to a recognized showroom cum service center and i was given an estimate of $140 but when i went to the local repair shop, i got the service just for $40. The mechanic told me that the chain had to be well oiled and also the chain cover needed some repair. He did what was required. I was also given some useful tips regarding maintenance of my bike.
Tips
Do some research work regarding the best and the cheapest place to get your bike repaired. As happened in my case, the authorized and big service centers normally charge a lot more as compared to small repair shops. The same service can be obtained from both the places. At the smaller repair shops, you may also try your hand at bargaining which might further bring down the cost of the service.
