Description of service
The volume of the horn of my motorcycle became too low and the head light would also glow lightly. Also the self start mechanism of the bike became non functional. So i took my bike to a nearby local garage. The mechanic immediately figured out that there is some problem with the battery. He charged me $20 to re-charge the battery.
Review of Service
I was quite satisfied with the service. The mechanic was too clever. He was the one who suggested me a cheap and effective way to get the bike back to normal. He advised me to get the battery charged instead of purchasing a new one. The only thing that i did not like about the service was the large amount of time. I gave the battery and got it back the next day. But this delay could not have been avoided.
Tips
Firstly, you should be able to judge the magnitude of the problem; or get it done with the help of some friend. If you believe that some tampering needs to be done with the engine, prefer the authorized service center; else if the problem is a minor one like battery problem, or headlight not working, or something similar, prefer a local garage that would prove to be much cheaper.
