the Cost of Boat Tours

My family of 4 went on a boat tour of Chicago. We got a special family rate of $200 for the four of us. They had packages that included dinner for an additional fee but we did not take part in those.

This was a wonderful tour. It was pretty long and so the boat went slow. That worked out great because there were times where our guide was giving us info about all the buildings and the history of the city but there was also plenty of time to just talk to the family and take our own look at the skyline and what not. It was great for families too. Very appropriate commentary by the guide that was informative but really fun and interesting too. The only downside was that we'd packed our lunches and brought water for the boat and it turned out they didn't allow outside food and beverages, as they sold their own. We ended up having to toss quite a bit of good food.

Be sure to bring sun block! We didn't even think about it and ended up all getting a sun burn. See if you can bring your own water or food as it can cut down on the cost.
