Description of service
I suffered an impact to the face by a puck at a hockey game, and needed to go to the emergency room to get it looked at. I had a friend drive me in, so i did not need to ride in an ambulance. I got a general look over, and then several head x-rays done. My jaw was broken, which they saw in the x-rays. They referred me to an on-call oral surgeon at that time.
Review of Service
I received great service at this hospital. I walked in, was given papers to fill out for insurance, and told to wait in the waiting room. It didn't take long before a nurse and a doctor took me into an exam room. There, very friendly people took my blood pressure, and other vitals, and then arranged for an x-ray to look at my jaw. I was a college student at the time, so my parents weren't there, and I was alone and kind of scared, but everyone was really helpful and kind throughout the ER visit. I really really appreciated it.
Tips
I would try to stay as calm as possible, and don't worry about things like cost and insurance. Just try to make sure you are safe, and getting the best care possible. The hospital staff will help you fill out all the appropriate papers, and your insurance company will assist you with the costs. Good luck, and be safe!
