Description of service
I was rear ended by a drunk driver one evening. The ambulance came to the scene of the accident but I did not go with them. I did not feel pain until a couple hours later so I had someone drive me to the emergency room for my injuries. At the emergency room, I had my blood pressure taken, my temperature and took x-rays.
Review of Service
I think that I was very lucky because when I arrived about 11:00pm, there was no one in the waiting room. I was immediately taken to the nurse and was administered treatement. The hospital was very very cold, but I was treated nicely and efficiently. Before I left they made sure that I had everything I needed to get through the night.
Tips
Have insurance! I think this helps the process along. Also make sure you know your medical history or know how to access this information quickly. Your time with doctors is very limited so while in the waiting room, if you are able, write down a list of questions or concerns. This makes it easier to get all the information you need without taking too much of his or her (the doctor's) time. If you have a little pain, it will most likely worsen throughout the night so address this while you are there.
