Description of service
When I was 10 years old I broke my front tooth in half. My parents had it repaired right away. 21 years later, In September, 2007 I bit into a piece of ice and it broke again. The bottom portion of my tooth that had been repaired when I was a child was gone. I went to a dentist that could see me the very next day. They filed what remained of my tooth down into a tiny little nub. They then fitted me with a temporary tooth until the one they were having custom made was ready, which would take 2 weeks. I left the dentist and on the way home the temporary tooth fell off. My front tooth was basically gone and it looked horrible. I returned to the dentist and had it re-glued on with temporary cement. It fell off several more times in the 2 weeks it took to get my permanent tooth in. It was very stressful, as I was nervous I would swallow it. When my tooth was finally in, I was relieved. The permanent tooth looked exactly like my other teeth.
Review of Service
The whole ordeal was a nightmare, but once the permanent tooth came in, I was happy with the result. I was able to pay 1/2 the $980 on my first visit and the remainder when my permanent tooth was in.
Tips
Ask if the dentist offers a payment plan, or if the fee can be paid over several visits. You can also call around and compare prices, however, if you have a regular dentist, you may want to go with one you are familiar with.
