Description of service
Oral exam on a tooth that had recently became loose for an unknown reason. The dentist examined the tooth and surrounding tissue to determine what the problem could be. The tooth had also moved outward from the gum line enough to notice.
Review of Service
The dentist had done a through examination to determine the possible cause and then prescribed a antibiotic to aid in a infection that had occurred in the gum area directed connected to the tooth. The dentist felt that the tooth would possibly not be a issue if the infection was gotten under control and said so. Stating that the infection was just something people can get when either the gum is cut from food while chewing or during eating even though you may not have felt it. This dentist assured me that it was basically unpreventable, unless someone never eats foods that could be hard like chips that could possibly cut a area in the mouth. Also that usually it would normally heal on it's own however due to the fact it was close to the tooth the infection wasn't being taken care of by the normal body functions. So an antibiotic should handle the problem before it got worse.
