Description of service
We recently moved from Hilliard, Ohio to Ashland, Kentucky due to a new career choice. We rented a 25 foot box truck from a nationally known company for a one way trip. The total mileage was going to be near 150 miles, so there was no way we could return the truck, but the company we used had a shop in Ashland, Kentucky that would take the truck in and drop it off there. The total cost of the rental was $280 and that covered the actual truck, insurance and a dolly rental.
Review of service
The service was fine, but I have never had to move long distance before so I don't have much to compare it to. The truck ran perfectly, but it was very awkward as I normally drive a small sub compact car. We got the largest truck available and we fit everything in there perfectly. When we returned the truck, we had to fill the gas tank up to where it was when we got it, which cost us a small fortune with today's high gas prices.
Tips
We called around to different truck rental places until we found the one with the cheapest quote. Usually the larger companies can offer better deals, be sure to ask family and friends for their experiences too.
