the Price of One Way Long Distance Truck Rentals

This service is for renting a moving van for a long distance move. I paid $325 for a large rental truck to move from Columbus, Ohio to Huntington, West Virginia. This fee covered the milage, gas and insurance. I got this service from a nationally know carrier, who had several truck sizes available. I got the largest truck they had, but could have gotten it cheaper by going with a smaller truck.

When I walked into their office it was very dirty and smokey. Just what you would expect from a place like this. The guy behind the counter wasn't very helpful, and offered nothing to make my move easy. He seemed to be mad that I wasn't returning the truck to his shop, but was returning it to one of their sister shops in my new home town. He told me their would be an extra fee, and when I said that was okay he kind of grunted. The truck was very dirty in the cabin as well as the back, my wife refused to sit in it because of the filth.

Look around and see what you can find. We shopped around and went with the cheapest available, and we got what we paid for. It wouldn't have hurt to pay a little more to get a little better service.
