Description of service
I recently had to relocate for my job, and had to move from Washington D.C. to Columbus, Ohio. It's about a nine hour drive, so I needed a moving truck to help me get my stuff to my new home, but I obviously couldn't return the truck to the same place in my old city. I went with a nationally known company that had offices in both Washington DC, and Columbus - that way I could pick up the truck in my old city and drop it off in my new city. The total cost for this service, which gave me 24 hour access to the box truck, was $296. This price included all milage, taxes and insurance.
Review of service
I feel like this service was a bit over priced, but was actually the cheapest option I had. The other two companies I had to choose from were quite a bit more than what I paid with this company. I got a large, twenty foot box truck to move my apartment sized worth of stuff and it was a tight fit, but I got everything in there. The truck ran perfectly as I went non stop on the nine hour drive. If I had to move long distance like this again, I would use the same company because the service was satisfactory.
Tips
There are many companies that offer this service, but at least call around to the ones you can find and see what the best prices are. By all means, if you have a family member that can help you move ask them, they usually don't charge as much.
