Description of service
My car was shipped on an uncovered truck in November 2006. I had to put down a $500.00 non refundable deposite to schedule the car to ship. The car was loaded onto the truck in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Before the car was loaded the driver inspected the car and noted any scratches or dents on the car. The driver then gave me a copy of the receipt and load the car. The driver also specified that no valuables were to be packed in the car. The car was shipped to Portland, Oregon and unloaded. I then inspected the car for any damages that may have occured during the shipment. At the time the car was delivered I was required to pay the remaining balance of $1300.00.
Review of Service
I was pleased with the service. The car arrived on time as scheduled with no damage. The driver was very informative. My car needed a car wash from the dust and road grime. I would consider shipping my car in a covered truck if I were to ship it again.
Tips
The car hauler was too large to pull into my apartment complex. I had to meet the driver at a gas station so he could load the car. So if you live on a narrow road where large trucks are now allowed don't worry the driver will meet you or drop your car off using a tow truck.
