Description of service
I went to the dentist and found out that I had a cavity. This cavity was underneath a previous filling. I was told that the previous dentist did not properly get all of the decay out and thus the cavity persisted beneath the existing filling. So, my new dentist removed the old filling, cleaned out the decay, and replaced it with a new filling - the white (tooth colored) kind as opposed to the more unsightly metal kind of filling.
Review of Service
I was happy with the service this dentist provided. Firstly, I was glad that he was able to spot the problem before it got worse. The filling that he gave me was relatively painless. Plus, it only took about a half an hour. Usually after getting a filling I have sensitivity in the tooth to both hot and cold for some time. However, it this case, it only lasted about two days. As far as I am concerned, this is great. It usually last a couple of months! I will be going back to this dentist for regular checkups and would be comfortable using them for any future procedures.
Tips
If you are getting a filling that is visible, you might consider asking for the tooth-colored material rather than metal; that way, no one knows if you have a mouth full of fillings.
