Description of service
I had three sides of one tooth drilled and filled with porcelain enamel. I was shocked because I didn't know how much it would cost, and I hadn't met my insurance deductible. That price was for three complete sides being fixed, so I'm not sure what a regular cavity filling would cost. That tooth never had enamel form on it, so when they do work on it, it is extensive.
Review of Service
The service was good overall. This office was really high tech which I like. The dentist didn't think that I needed novicaine at first, so he started drilling without it. Of course it hurt. Then they had to stop give me the shot and then wait for it to kick in. That was my only complaint. I wish I would have had it right away.
Tips
Definitely check prices and insurance coverage before you go into the dentist. I had only ever gotten my teeth cleaned there before, and our insurance covered that 100 percent, so I just assumed that part of the fillings were going to be covered. I later found out that this office is on the expensive end, and although I like all the high tech gear and nice accomondations, you do end up paying for it. If you are someone like me that has teeth with defective enamel, you might want to also check into long term options. I don't want to have to keep repairing these same teeth every few years.
