Description of service
I discovered an ad for childrens' Spanish lessons The lessons took place in the childrens' rooms at the center twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) after school. There were two instructors who put on skits for the children, talked with them individually, and helped them with activities. The lessons spanned over three months, and busing and snacks for the children were provided.
Review of Service
I was very, very impressed by the quality of the instructors and of the venue. The childrens' room was very inviting and not dirty, and the instructors were fairly young and very friendly, in such a way that it made the children open up to them. They really got into the activities they were doing, and you could tell that they were enjoying themselves, the kids were having fun, and they were learning Spanish. My daughter impressed me with how much she knew - she was having a conversation in Spanish with the Spanish-speaking child who lives down our street.
Tips
Definitely keep an eye out for local offerings. I happened upon the ad for my lessons in a local flyer, and I think that because it was a lower-budget, more informal thing that my daughter had more fun and I got more for my money.
