Description of service
Foreign language instruction for individuals, small groups, or large groups (depending on tiered price). The school offers total immersion, if necessary, host families, or twice-weekly, hour long lessons in all different foreign languages, but emphasizing Spanish. This was a great Spanish class for my 6 year old son
Review of Service
This was a great class for my 6-year-old son. We live in a community with a large Hispanic population, and I felt it was necessary to teach him the basics of Spanish in order to give him a head start on a second language while he is young. The instructors are great, and extremely qualified. Class sizes are 5-8 students, and meet for an hour twice a week, teaching conversational Spanish to children, as well as teaching a lot of the basics of grammar and usage. It has certainly given him a head-start on becoming bi-lingual, and also helps him to understand the English Language a little better. He has benefited not only from learning a second language, but has greatly developed his reading skills and understanding of grammar and usage in our native language of English.
Tips
Do some research and decide which types of lessons will be best for you. If you are bilingual yourself, there are helpful guides you can use from the internet which will give you a good foundation to teach the language to a child. Otherwise, if you don't know another language, a language school or lessons may be best for you. Decide how important and how necessary a second language is for your child before determining how much time and money you are going to spend on the language lessons. Most schools offer different tiers of instruction, and most are based on price.
