the Price of Plumbers

Drain cleaning: I called a local Plumber because my sewer was backing up into the bathtub. They came in about 1 1\2 hours, a very nice man explained the problem

could take one hour or if the main was broken or cracked a day or two! At $118.00

an hour or he would give me a bid if the main needed replacing. He then went to work

starting at a cleanout access in front of the house. He opened the cover and oh! boy!

A smelly mess came out, He was'nt suprised and already had his latex gloves on then he rolled out a big sewer drain snake, pluged it in and started running it into the messy

cleanout working it till it stoped going in easy so he ran it in and out a few times then WOOSH the mess started draining. He then asked me to turn on all the water in the house, flush toilets, run sink's,shower and tub and leave them going. I went back out, he had the hose running down into the cleanout too! Said it cleans his snake and makes sure its all clear. When the snake was retreved it had a bunch or small roots wraped around it. He told me there must be a crack somewhere will probably get worse with time and need the main repaired or replaced eventaly.

The job took about 50 min.

The charge was $118.00 = 1hr service charge.

He claened up the mess and wraped up his tools.

I gladly paid him and was happy with the job done.

also Happy I didnt have to do it!

Ask about the rates and charge before they start.Talk with the service man and ask about whats being done, being friendly and observe when posable.

I will use this Plumber again if I need help in the future.
