It cost $70.00 for a plumber to find out what was wrong with an overflowing toilet. He charged $40.00 for service charge and $30.00 an hour. My toddler had flushed a toy, which caused the toilet to get stopped up and overflow. The plumber removed the toy and the problem was solved.
Review of Service
I feel that I was overcharged for plumbing service because the plumber charged me $30.00 an hour, but he actually finished the job in fifteen minutes. I was living in a rented apartment at the time, so I thought that the company I was renting from was supposed to take care of the bill. When the plumber discovered that a toy was had caused the problem, I was responsible. If I had realized that I would be paying the bill, I wouldn't have called a different plumber, rather than letting the rental company bring their plumber. I liked the fact that he finished quickly, but I wasn't happy with the terrible mess that he left in the bathroom.
Tips
Check around to get the price for plumbers. A dishonest plumber can easily overcharge you for unnecessary services, so ask for references. Get recommendations from family and friends or use well known companies.
