Rental Car Prices

We rented a compact car from a national rental car company, picking it up at the airport and returning it to the airport. We did not purchase the insurance coverage because we have our own from the credit card company. We also did not purchase the prepaid refueling option, so we filled it up on our way back to the airport and returned it with a full tank. The car was a 2008 model Chevy with four doors and a good size trunk that held all of our luggage.

The car was exactly what we needed and the rental process was actually faster than I expected and have experienced at other airport locations. They had a full supply of cars and we were able to choose the model that looked best for our needs. The price on the rental contract was accurate and it was easy to locate the car in the lot and get out of the airport. The return was also pretty simple, as we dropped the car off at the return center and they checked the mileage and gas level before printing and giving us our receipt and letting us go on our way.

My tips would be to make sure that you check the contract carefully to be sure the rate is accurate, and also to ask for some sort of discount based on the many types of discounts that are available (i.e., AAA, AARP, etc.).
