Description of service
I can't believe how these rental car companies tack on extra fees. You really have to watch what they charge because your economy rental car can wind up costing as much as a luxury rental car. Luckily, I had done some research beforehand and learned what to look out for and what you need and don't need.
Review of Service
I highly recommend before you rent a car, to do your research on these rental car companies. We wound up paying $182.00 for a rental car for two days and the actual rental fee per day was only $13.00 a day. My husband and I couldn't believe it. It could have been more but we opted out of things that we felt were not necessary. Even though the agent was trying to convince us that a lot of these fees were necessary. The one that really got us was the gas fee. They could charge us up to $125.00 to fill the gas tank if we do not bring it in filled up. They also said that we could fill it up ourselves and we would just have to show the receipt from the gas station. We opted to fill the gas tank ourselves. It only cost us $16.00 to fill up the tank. But make sure that you check your rental agreement contract to make sure that they actually do not mark the box. Then double check your credit card statement to make sure that they did not charge you extra.
Tips
Read your agreement carefully. Do your research about the company you are renting the car from. Search the Better Business Bureau to see how they rank. Check your statements after you have rented the car to see if you have been charged differently than what you signed for.
