Description of service
I planned a trip to Lake Powell recreation area in Northern Arizona. I transported my 26ft Cris craft cabin cruiser. I rented a docking slip for Saturday, Sunday and Monday to stow my boat. The is a $10 fee for each car to enter the recreation area and a $20 fee per boat. Docking fees range but are in the range of 150 to 200 per day
Review of Service
I made my first trip to Lake Powell in Northern, Arizona. I called a marina at Lake Powell prior to departure to reserve a boat dock to stow my boat. We arrived around 2pm on Saturday at the Marina. The marina is one of 7 marina available for boater. They have a variety of services. From houseboat and small craft rentals. To docking services and a abundance of restaurants and gift shops. Lake Powell is one of the largest man made reservoirs and has shore line for several hundred miles. We were given a really good slip. It was a powered slip and gas and service was nearby. After every outing upon the dock was recently cleaned and well maintained. Lake Powell is a real popular destination is busy in the summer months. Aside for the crowds the experience was one of the best boating/nature outings that we have experienced.
Tips
Call ahead and book your reservations many months before your scheduled arrival. The summer months are in big demand so depending on which marina you choose, you might have to book a dock several months before your arrival. Also it is alot cheaper to bring you own food then to order delivery or to eat at the marina watering holes or eateries.
