Description of service
I paid 300 dollars to dock my boat in marathon. I also tipped the dockhand 25 dollars for my month long stay. I received free electric, water, cable, and access to a free pump out service.
Review of Service
I was extremely happy with my service all around. The dockhand and fellow boaters were so friendly and beyond helpful. From getting me all tied up and secure, to actually going on to the boat and re rigging all the lines and fenders when we left for a couple of days and of course the weather was bad. The area and people were just so amazing. They also had parking right along the docks with not just one but two parking spaces available per slip, and each slip shared a picnic area and barbecue grill with the neighboring boat. It was the kind of place that just encouraged a community spirit.
Tips
The first thing you must do is look at the area and see if it is somewhere you will be comfortable, also pay attention to whatever contract or agreement is reached and make sure what you are paying for in the contract. This way you avoid getting stuck with a bill or fine upon your departure.
