Description of service
Part of a dogs annual exam is having thier teeth checked by the vet. This year the vet said it was time to have my dogs teeth cleaned. There was a buildup of plaque around the gum line that should be removed. Additionally, it appeared that one or two teeth needed to be pulled. Dogs need to be sedated in order to clean their teeth. The vet drew blood for a test that would make sure the dogs internal organs were functioning properly. This would ensure he would be able to tolerate the sedation. I scheduled the teeth cleaning appointment when leaving the vets office.
Review of Service
On the day of the teeth cleaning I had to drop my dog off by 8:30am. He would be ready for pick up when I got off work at 5pm. The vet called after the procedure to say my dog was fine. He did have to remove more teeth than anticipated. At least the $125.00 was a flat fee so I didn't have to pay more.
Tips
Make sure to wait as long as you can before picking up your dog. My dog still seemed a little sedated when I arrived. He was swaying from side to side. I was nervous to take him home but the vet said that the side effects would be over in another hour or two.
