the Cost of Pet Sitting

Recently travelled away from the state for 4 days and had a reputable person come to my home and take care of my Great Pyrenees. The service included feeding him, walking him and just spending some quality time with him. I paid extra for gas for travel to my home. I wanted the sitter to take extra time with him. At least a good hour.

When I returned home to my dog, I found him clean, feed and fairly happy, From the looks of my home, he had been well taken care of. When I took him out, he was overly hyper. It was clear he had been walked and played with. I checked with some of my neighbors and they had assured me the sitter had come everyday and spent some time with my dog. They had noticed he took long walks and played with the dog. Being such a large breed, I was concerned the sitter would be a bit afraid but that was not the case. The sitter was a certified trainer. I definitely feel I got my money's worth and my dog was well attended to.

When seeking the services of a pet sitter, it is important for you and your pet to meet them in advance. Let the pet be alone with the sitter for awhile. Also, make sure exactly what you expect from the pet sitter.
