the Price of Dry Cleaning Comforters and Quilts

The service was professional dry cleaning of a large quilt given to me by my mother. While it is not ideal to have to hand wash or dry clean such a quilt, it has loose lace and puffy applique work. Because of this, my Mom said that machine washing is very risky and the quilt should be professionally dry cleaned. We went with the recommendation. The $25 represented total fee for the service.

The quilt came out looking great, and the service was fast. Very friendly and accomodating. We needed it back in rather short turnaround because of a party we were hosting at our house. We wanted the quilt to be on display for the party. That was not a problem at all, and we got a call saying it was ready within 24 hours of dropping it off. Tremendous service! I am not any sort of expert on what pricing for something like this should be, but the $25 seemed reasonable, so we were happy.

My tip would be to be very careful when deciding to clean something like a quilt. Sometimes washing machines can be too risky, and sometimes dry cleaning can be bad too. Be careful and research it!
