Description of service
I was having guests for the holidays and I wanted to power-clean the guest room. I can't remember the last time I had the quilt dry-cleaned. It gets little use and the rest of the room is cleaned by my cleaning lady every other week.
Review of Service
I use this dry-cleaner for all my clothes dry-cleaning, but I had never used them for anything else. They called me the day after I dropped it off and told me there would be an additional $5 charge because it was an "oversized" queen quilt and they would have to charge me the king-size price. That was fine with me and I was impressed that they called first before they cleaned it.
I knew the quilt would look clean, but I didn't realize how much more "fluffy" it would look. It was folded and on a heavy-duty hanger.
While I was waiting in line to pick it up, I was looking at the big washers that you would have to use to wash/dry it yourself. The washer was $6 and the dryer probably would have been about the same. That's not much cheaper than having them do it and doing it myself would have meant a few wasted hours sitting at the laundromat.
Tips
Use a dry-cleaner - don't try and do it yourself - you're not saving that much money and run the risk of ruining a nice quilt.
