the Cost of Gas and Electricity

Electric Service for small 1 bedroom home per month.

This is for Hot Water and general electric service and it does increase with air conditioner usage during the summer months. 2 air conditioning window units brings bill up to about $60.00/month. I run computers all the time as well as two aquariums and as I work from home I generally have something going. It does not include heat or any washing machine/dryer.

A-1C: CONTROLLED WATER HEATER RATE

Available to residential customers using electricity as the sole means for heating water or air conditioning

Distribution Charge: $0.02800/kWh

This service is a great deal and is a city owned provider. I have never had any interuption in service or any issues with either the service or the costs for it.

I did need to get in touch with customer service once because the bill had not come in yet and was very easily able to find their email contact information from the website and email them about when the bills went out for that month, if they could provide me with the costs, etc. I received a reply the very next morning!! It was wonderful.

They provide an early pay date discount which in my price range is $1-5.00 per month. 10% of bill if paid within 15 days.

They also have an additional 5% discount for Senior Citizens.

They also provide a newsletter with you bill about energy savings ideas, any special offers, community bulletins and all of their contact information.
