Description of service

The cost of my light bill, here in sparta nc, runs around $200.00 a month. That is because we are using electric heat. We live in a small town, in a small house. In the summer it runs around $130.00 a month.

Review of Service

I personally think that is way to much money. People have to have heat. We could use oil, but it would end up being higher than electric heat. Sometimes we use wood, in our fireplace.

But, it does'nt heat the whole house. So, we have no choice but to use our electric heat. I have children and I have to keep it good and warm for them. I think it should be cheaper.

I think they need to come up with some type of electric heat, that does'nt cost so much.

Tips

I would suggest, do the best you can. Find the right heat source that works out best for you.

Some people use kerosene heaters, but the price of kerosene is going up. Plus the smell and mess you have to put up with. Wood is great, if you can use it. The only thing is the mess, the smoke. PLus, you have to get the wood. Some people can't use wood heat. Oil, is outrageous, it cost as much, or more as electric heat. Heat pumps are great, if you have one. In the other house I lived, we had one. I think they are cheaper. At least for me it was. I guess no matter what heat is gonna make your electric bill higher, but we have to have it.
