the Cost of Cobblers and Shoe Repair for Men's Dress Shoes

Need full soles replaced on my favorite dress shoes. Dropped shoes off at a local mens shoe repair shop.

I contacted the shoe repair about fixing the soles on a pair of Allen Edmond shoes. The shoes were still in very good condition (except for the soles) and cost over $100.00 retail so i really wanted to keep them. The cost was a little surprising. I had no idea that shoe repair could be so expensive. But I still elected to drop off my shoes early one morning. The check in/drop off was fairly simple. The Cobbler inspected my shoes for any other damage besides the soles. I was given a merchandise invoice and was informed that I could pick up the shoes in two days. I requested an additional services of cleaning and polishing the shoes as well. After the two day period I picked up my shoes and they appeared to be in excellent condition. The new soles appeared to somewhat match the previous ones and the cleaning and polishing made the shoes looks almost new. Very good value if you want to keep an expensive pair of shoes in good condition.

Check around because prices vary. Also give yourself several days before you will need to shoes. If you are planning to wear them to an event coming up, check with the cobbler beforehand to make sure the repairs will be completed in a timely manner.
