the Cost of Cobblers and Shoe Repair for Men's Dress Shoes

I had my husband's leather dress shoes re-soled at a local cobbler. They completed the re-soleing in about a week.

My husband has had the same pair of dress shoes for almost 10 years. This was his 3rd re-soleing and first time using this particular cobbler. The work they did was great. The shoes continue to look good as new even though they are almost 10 years old. They were a little tight when he got them back but that's happened everywhere we've taken them. Wearing them for a few days stretches them out just fine. The problem I had though was that it turned out the cobbler sent the shoes away to another location to be worked on. This meant it took about a week to get the shoes back. If we'd known they were going to be sent to another location we would have taken there somewhere ourselves. We like the people we give our money to, to be the people who work on our stuff.

Ask how long it will take before you ask anything else. If the shoes will be sent off-site you may as well go somewhere else as you'll probably get a lower price from someone who doesn't have to contract the work to someone else.
