Description of service
I needed the heels on both of the shoes replaced because they were worn down unevenly, and I also needed the sole on one of the shoes fixed because it was showing some wear. The cost of $31 included $8 per heel and $15 for the sole. It took two days for the shoes to be repaired and returned to me.
Review of Service
I was generally satisfied with the service, although I was a little surprised that the store didn't polish the shoes before returning them. The new heels and the sole looked good and were much better than before they went in for repair. The time was reasonable because I didn't need the shoes right away, and the cost was about what I expected and close to what I had paid a year or so earlier for the same work at another store. The store employee was a friendly, older man and he seemed to know what he was doing so I accepted his suggestion for the type and brand of heel, and it turned out to be fine.
Tips
It can be hard to find a good shoe repair store so if you have one, be sure to tell your friends because these small stores need word-of-mouth advertising to stay in this business. Also, make sure to look at the shoes in the bag before you leave the store to be sure that you got back the right shoes; men's shoes often look very much alike.
