Description of service

Needed to have sole resewn onto upper; had been pulled apart when caught on a luggage buckle. Shoes were nearly brand new and had cost several hundred dollars.

Review of Service

VERY expensive pair of shoes so there was no way I was going to just get rid of them or wear them for yard work or donate them or whatever people usually do with old shoes.

The first place I called made no promises, or committed to price, just said to bring them in and they woudl see what they could do.

The counter person was very helpful, said the types fo shoes they had done before and showed me what else they had in the shop so I was comfortable leaving my make of shoes there.

He expalined how they would fix it and how much it would cost, and the price I paid was what he had etimated.

service provider also gave me some shoeshine polish as a 'gift' when I went to pay for the repairs- cheap bonus, but it was nice to have them do something to show that they appreciated the business

Tips

next time I could also try contacting the place I bought them at to see who they would suggest.

I have heard that if you buy something pricy with your credit card it is sometimes covered und4er some type of their warranty if it is damaged by you in a certain period of time after purchase. worth looking into I guess.
