Tuned everything by ear starting with an A440hz bell. Brought his own tools and was tidy and fast. Has obviously tuned many pianos in his day and has an impeccable ear for tuning. He knew exactly what he was doing and got straight to work without delay. If there is ever a doubt about what shape your piano is going to be in after a tuning rest assured you pick a professional wiht many years of experience.

The service itself was very courteous and proffesional. The whole process took hardly any time at all, maybe less than an hour. I'm sure some tuners take a significantly longer time than that and I would be quite alright with the extra time as long as the result was good. The result was a piano I could actually bear listening to. great service and quality. Anything less than 100 dollars and I would be skeptical.

Its best to seek out referrals, most music stores have a list of good tuners and so do old piano teachers. Old guys are the best because theyve been doing it for so long. The yellow pages may have some listings but I would highly recommend word of mouth as you know what their past results have been.
