the Price of Piano Tuning

I paid 175 dollars for an hour and a half session where our usual piano tuner came and worked on our large grand piano that also has a "player piano" in it. This was an overall charge for the entire service.

We usually only tune our piano about once a year, therefore the price is not too bad for the length of time that the tuning lasts. This has always been a good service for us because it is nice to have a piano that is on tune for when someone comes over and wants to play it. Our piano is extremely large, therefore it costs more to tune it. Also we have a "player piano". This means that there is a machine inside that allows the piano to play itself. Since we have this feature on a lot of the time, it is important that the piano is tuned correctly. The service was great and made our piano sound exactly like it should. While it is pricey, having it done only once a year is not too bad.

Make sure you find a piano tuner who really loves music and cares about their job. Our piano tuner comes over and fixes our piano and plays wonderful music while he does it. You can tell that he really cares about his job and loves the piano. This is just an aspect that has made the service much more valuable and enjoyable for us.
