Description of service
I had my baby grand piano tuned. Obviously, the guy came out to the house. He charged $95 for the tuning.
Review of Service
The guy we hired did what was asked of him and what he advertised he would do - which was tune the piano. He was quick and he did the job well. Our piano sounded great when he was done.
I did have one problem though. Right before he came over, my husband and I decided that we wanted to move the piano to an adjacent room. We called the company we'd hired and they said it would be an additional fee, but that the tuner could move the piano safely for us. Well, when he showed up he was not willing to do so. We were a little put out about it, but then again he did not sign on for more than simply tuning the piano.
We also felt his attitude after that to be a little gruff. It's a little bit awkward when you have someone in your home and they are being less than polite to you.
Tips
If you think that you might want the piano moved or to get any other kind of maintenance on it, make sure that you ask for it when you initially hire someone to do the tuning.
