Description of service
A 5 month youth basketball league. The cost was $175. This included uniforms as well as other costs that were required.
Review of Service
The league itself was great. The coaches were volunteers who clearly cared a great deal about making sure that the kids were having a good time but also learning things at the same time. They played once a week against another team. The games were competitive enough to teach them skills about sportsmanship but not so competitive that it left any of the kids feeling badly.
My only issue was really with the uniforms. Because the entire league was so inexpensive, each kid didn't have their own uniform to take home at night. Instead they simply used general uniforms. They didn't get to keep them once the season ended, which I know my son was upset about. However, I know other people who spent hundreds just on the uniform, so I would say it was worth it.
Tips
You can find leagues that are really inexpensive like this one. However, you're likely to give something up - such as the kids having their own dedicated uniforms. Make sure that you know exactly what is included and what isn't before you make your decision.
