Description of service
My motorcycle had broken down on Route 93 in Southern Ohio and I paid $60 to have it towed back to my house, which was about 35 miles down the road in Jackson, Ohio. The towing service I used brought an oversized flat bed truck and hauled my motorcycle back, as I rode along with the driver.
Review of Service
The service was great, but I hated using it. There isn't a lot of cell phone signal around these mountains, but I was just able to get through to the towing company and tell them to come and get me. It was a nice day, so it wasn't too bad standing on the side of the road, but I was surprised that the towing service actually showed up in under half an hour. I was a little surprised by the cost, as it is only a motorcycle, but they told me that the $60 was a flat minimum fee.
Tips
If you need a tow, you need a tow so there isn't much you can do. But if you can, call around to different towing places that are easily found in the "towing" section of your local yellow pages. If you can, find a friend with a pick up truck to come and haul your bike, it'll be much cheaper.
