Description of service
The service was a tow for my bike. The tow was covered by the annual roadside assistance plan that I get under my insurance police that is combined for all of my cars and my bike under an umbrella plan. Under this plan, I get 5 free calls to roadside assistance per year. These calls include a free tow if it is under 5 miles. My tow was about 4 miles, so it was totally free under my insurance plan. If it goes over 5 miles, they charge something like $2.50 a mile after that, so it can add up quickly if you need a long tow.
Review of Service
I have always been very pleased with my roadside assistance plan. It is amazing how much you can end up needing it. It is also conveinent to help out a friend, because it can be used for any car or bike, as long as I am a passenger and have my card present. Doesn't have to be registered under my name or anything like that. They are always fast and courteous. This particular driver made it to my bike and I within 20 minutes of placing the call and was over-the-top helpful.
Tips
I highly recommend purchasing a roadside assistance plan from your insurance that covers free tows for your motorcycle! Just one tow can be more expensive than the entire plan that covers 5 costs!
