Description of service
We got natural stone tile. The place also does installation of all types of flooring, including linoleum, ceramic tile, natural stone, carpet, hardwood floors, as well as cove base, padding, and sub floor.
Review of Service
I feel we were overcharged for the service we received. A co-worker of my husband does side jobs with flooring, and agreed to do it for us for a "discounted price". Overall square footage of natural stone tile is about 600. The tile in the hallway is higher than other places, and it looks haphazard at best. The floor looks good, but upon closer inspection, there are all kinds of flaws in the work. There are slightly crooked tiles all over my kitchen, as well as some corners which are cracking, and I wonder if it was sloppy work, or the "floor settling" as the installer told us. I am regretting not looking further for more available contractors to see what kinds of prices and recommendations they have for their work.
Tips
Get references from previous clients if you can. See what kind of work the installer has done before to make sure it is going to be up to your standards. Check competitors prices to be sure you are getting the most for your money, and not being taken advantage of.
