Description of service
We decided to have the entry way to our home retiled and after speaking with several installers selected one of them. The cost for the tile and the installation was $960
Review of Service
We removed the old tile and disposed of the pieces. The installer sanded the base for the new tile and evened the concrete. We selected the tile from a commercial store and the installer bought at a discounted price. There were two men who did the installation and although it was to take only one day, it required part of the next morning to finish the job.
The workers were careful and kept the dust and dirt to a minimum. Any cutting was done outside the house. I think they were experienced and were were very satisfied with their work and the finished product.
In our opinion, the finished product was just what we had hoped for and was a good value.
Tips
If anyone is seeking to install or remove tile, be prepared for some dust. It can be held to a minimum, but there will be dust. When selecting tile take a few sample pieces home to check the colors and the size of the tiles. If having it installed in an entry, you should plan to use a different method to enter the home until the tile has had time to "set".
Ask around and get several opinions as to the workmanship of the installer. Always ask for references.
