the Cost of Trolley Tours

The city of Cleveland has offered cute trolley rides around the downtown areas for a long time and it is a service that takes you throughout the historic city of Cleveland. The trolley picks up its passengers from a designated point and takes them on a three hour tour with one stop for lunch at a famous downtown location (location changes frequently). The service is for an afternoon or for an evening, and was $38/person for either time frame.

The service was great! The guide truly made the trolley tour worthwhile because of the guide's charisma and involving the people in the tour. I believe that the quality of the trolley tour relies on the sites you are seeing and whether you are interested in them and the tour guide's ability to engage his audience. Luckily, I have been on this tour multiple times and have always found the guides to be great people who like to have fun. It made for a wonderful time because the guide would provide interesting facts while keeping everyone aboard entertained.

My tip would be to research a trolley tour before taking it, just to see what sites it stops at. If you not interested in any of the stops, then pass on the tour because you will not want to be on the trolley for a long period of time. Then I would call the tour company and ask who is the fan favorite tour guide and try to get on his trolley. However, if you do not have a fun guide that makes the tour interesting, I would bet on the fact that you could get a discount off of another tour if you file a complaint.
