the Cost of Phone Installation and Repair

The $225 was for the installation of new phone service, plus the installation of a second phone line. The service technician was at my house for about 2 hours, installing service and the additional phone line. That cost did not include the first month of phone service.

I was not very happy with the service, considering the price. The service technician was at my house for about 2 1/2 hours. He was actually a 1/2 hour late. He tried to charge me extra for installing wiring inside my house for the second phone line. I had made it clear when I ordered the service that I would need the second phone line installed, plus the wiring inside of my house for the outlet. The price that I was quoted was supposed to include all of that.

If you need to get new phone service in you house or if you need any repairs, make sure you get an accurate quote from the phone company before they come out to install the service. You might not have the option of shopping around, depending upon the number of phone companies in you area. Try to get recommendations from someone that you trust.
