Description of service
I went to a small family owned shoe repair shop to get the heels of my favorite high heels redone. The heel had worn down to the metal rod so I needed them to be worked up and to have the sole replaced. The cost was about $9 a shoe.
Review of Service
I was happy with the service overall but was a bit surprised by the price. They did a great job fixing my shoes. The repairs were professional looking and have help up since. They only took 3 days to fix my shoes which I thought was excellent turn around time. The shop was a small family owned shop and the customer service matched my percpetion about small mom and pop shops. They were very curteous and took time to explain what they would have to do to fix my shoes and why I would be charged the price I would be charged. I appreciated the personal attention I recieved as well as the fast turn around time. They called my personally when they were done for pick up rather than making me check back with them periodically to see if they were finished.
Tips
I was happy with this service overall but did leave wondering if I could have gotten my shoes fixed cheaper elsewhere. In the future I plan to do some price comparisons prior to taking my shoes in to get fixed. I would advise others to do the same. But as I said overall it was a positive experience.
